What to Expect

This Sunday, Pastor Mark Shepard concludes his series on The Joy of The Lord, with a message titled, “Christ Our Strength; Rejoice Always!”, based on Philippians 4:4-5, 8:

 “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand;

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

 Songs this Sunday include, “ As We Gather”, “My Heart Rejoices”, “He Has Made Me Glad”, and “Great is Thy Faithfulness”.

 The stream goes live at 9:55AM.

What Time Do I Arrive for Sunday Service?
Worship begins at 10:00am. There is plenty of convenient parking just outside the building and we are handicap accessible. Greeters are at the doors to direct you to the Worship Center. Nursery is provided and Christian Education is available for ages 3 and up. Our children begin worship with us and then are excused to Christian Education. There is an informal fellowship hour after the service when we enjoy visiting with one another over a cup of coffee and refreshments.

Can I Follow the Service?
The service is easy to follow. Worship bulletins are provided by the greeters when you enter. We even have large print bulletins available for anyone who may need one. Words to choruses and hymns are projected on screens and also are available in printed form. You are invited to stand or sit as appropriate. You might say our worship services are “User Friendly”.

What Do We Teach?
At Mendon Church we teach the fundamentals of the Christian faith. We believe the Bible to be God’s Word, and our rule and guide for our faith and practice. Inviting all men, women and children to experience and embrace a life-changing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we teach a practical faith for everyday living. Together we seek to grow spiritually, discovering God’s gifts and purpose for each of us.

What About Children?
Our Christian Education program is lively, hands-on and creative. We also have a teen Bible study and teen youth fellowships. Nursery care is provided during both services for infants and toddlers.  A greeter or teacher will be happy to help your child find his or her class.

Who Can Take Communion?
Communion is served the first Sunday of every month. You don’t have to be a member of our church, or any church to partake. All who claim Christ as Lord and Savior are welcome. We remain seated while Deacons and Elders serve the congregation.

LARGE-PRINT BIBLES are available for Worship. Please let the greeters know if this would be helpful for yourself or another.
