We have 4 full-time missionaries that we support financially around the world: Crossworld –
Bruce and Deb Robinson in Haiti – This is a mission project in northern Haiti providing irrigation, fresh water, housing and Christian education to the local inhabitants. Mendon Church donated and delivered a bulldozer there over 20 years ago and it is still very much in operation for numerous building projects.
Serving in Missions (SIM) – Beaj Beacham – Beaj Beacham teaches in a Christian School for children of Missionaries in Jos, Nigeria.
SIL – McKees – The McKees had been working in Kenya as Wycliffe Bible Translators until recently. They are now in Texas where Carol continues the work she did in Kenya and Rob teaches anthropology and prepares people to become Wycliffe translators in the field.
We also support a number of international mission projects:
Building Minds in Sudan – Founders Mathon Noi and Sebastian Maroundit know firsthand the trials and tribulation of poverty and war as they started their young lives as “Lost Boys” of Sudan. Now living in Rochester, NY they use their time, talents and resources to ensure the next generation of young children in Sudan are not lost through building schools and classrooms in South Sudan.
Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child – This project involves the whole congregation putting together shoebox size boxes with toys and necessities for needy children in foreign countries.
A Woman’s Heart– This is a mission project started by one of our members who is a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo. This project’s aim is to provide clothing, food, and shelter to the people of the village of Watsa, Congo.
